Scored by age
Every child, both parents
Sito kids nutrition app: a scanned box of Honey Nut Cheerios scored 30 out of 100 for a five-year-old, with the additives, added sugar and fiber behind the verdict. Sito kids nutrition app: a photographed plate of chicken, pasta, broccoli and apple, each item identified and scored on its own card.

What is Sito? Sito does two things. It scores packaged food for one particular child: scan a barcode and you get a number out of 100 worked out for their age, with the reasons in plain words. And it tracks what they actually ate, across more than fifteen nutrients rather than just calories. Free on iOS. It is on iOS and Android.

Features

Two questions, answered in one app

Is this food right for my child? And did they actually get what they needed today?

A score in the aisle

Scan the barcode and get a number out of 100, worked out for your child's age. The same cereal reads differently for a three-year-old and a ten-year-old.

Every food already scored

Search a product by name and the score is already sitting next to it. Compare two boxes without opening either one.

Allergens and additives, named

Tell us what your child reacts to and we flag it on the label before you buy. Every additive we score shows the study behind it.

Photograph the plate

Take a picture of the meal and we work out what is on it. Or scan it, say it out loud, or tap something from last week.

Beyond calories

Iron, calcium, zinc, fiber, vitamin D. More than fifteen of them, against targets built from your child's own age and size.

Ask about your own child

Our assistant already knows what your child ate this week. Ask it about picky eating, allergies, or a nutrient that keeps running low.

How It Works

Check it, log it, then see the whole picture

Three screens a parent actually uses, in the order they use them.

1
Sito app: searching Goldfish returns every variant with its KidScore beside it.

Check it before it goes in the cart

Scan the barcode, or just type the name. You get a score for your child's age and the reasons behind it, in time to put the box back.

2
Sito app: the log sheet offering camera, AI writer, search, recent foods and favourites.

Log it whichever way is quickest

Photo, barcode, voice, search, or something they ate last week. We work out the portion and the nutrition.

3
Sito app: the full nutrient screen showing iron, calcium, fiber and vitamin D against age-based targets.

See what they actually got

Not a calorie total. Iron, calcium, fiber and vitamin D against your child's own targets, with the low ones called out.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sito and how is it different from adult calorie trackers?

Adult apps count calories to help you lose weight. A growing child has the opposite problem, so Sito counts the things they need instead: iron, calcium, zinc, fiber, vitamin D. It also scores packaged food for one particular child, which no adult calorie tracker does. Scan a barcode and the number you get is worked out for your child's age.

How does Sito make logging food easier for busy parents?

Five ways, and you use whichever is fastest at the time. Photograph the plate, scan a barcode, say it out loud, search our database, or tap a food from last week. We work out the portion and the nutrition.

My child is a picky eater. Can Sito help?

Ask our assistant. It knows what your child has actually eaten this week, so when you ask how to get fiber into someone who refuses vegetables, the answer is about your child rather than about children in general.

Can I track nutrition for multiple children in one app?

Yes. Each child gets their own profile and their own targets, built from their age, height and weight. A two-year-old and an eight-year-old need very different things, and Sito treats them that way.

What does scanning a food actually tell me?

A number from 0 to 100, and a word for how often it belongs in their week: everyday, most days, sometimes, once in a while, or rarely. Under it we show what drove the number, in plain language. Additives, added sugar, sodium, how processed it is. We publish the whole method, every weight and every threshold, and every additive we score, with the research behind it.

Can both parents use one Sito account?

Yes. Generate a code in your profile and it signs your partner in to the same account. Same children, same logs, same subscription, nothing extra to pay. You can end it any time from Settings.

How much does Sito cost?

Free to download, with a free trial. A subscription opens the whole app, and the current price is shown there. It is on iOS and Android.

Scan the next thing you were about to buy

Free to download, free to try. Point it at a barcode and see what it scores for your own child's age.

Sito's home screen: three children to switch between, a 21-day streak, and the day's calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber each shown against its own target range.
