The Allergen Ladder

4 months to 2 years

With a check-in after each one

Egg, peanut, milk, wheat, soy, sesame, tree nuts, fish and shellfish, one at a time: a small amount first, then at least once a week to keep it up. After each one we ask how it went, and if something happens, we note it and ask before adding it to your baby's allergies.

Sito grows with them

At 12 months the full app opens on its own: meals from a photo, 18 nutrients, and how to cut every food until age 4.

Questions

Starting solids with Sito

What does Sito do for a baby under 12 months?

From 4 months, Starting Solids: the signs of readiness, how to serve each first food at your baby's age, a quick log for every taste and texture, and the Allergen Ladder for 9 common allergens. At every age there are growth charts, answers to your questions and a report for your baby's doctor.

Which allergens are on the Allergen Ladder?

Nine: egg, peanut, milk, wheat, soy, sesame, tree nuts, fish and shellfish. The ladder takes them one at a time and asks how it went after each. If something happens, we note it and ask before adding it to your baby's allergies. If your baby has severe eczema or a food allergy already, talk to your doctor before starting allergens.

Does Sito count calories for babies?

Under 12 months there is nothing to count. Sito keeps what your baby has tried, how each food went, the allergens they have met and their growth. Full nutrition tracking opens at 12 months, on its own.

I have a baby and an older child. Do I need two apps?

No. Each child gets their own profile, and Sito shows each one what fits their age: Starting Solids for the baby, meals and nutrients for the older one. Both parents can share the same account.

Is Sito medical advice?

No. Sito is a guide, not medical advice. You decide what your child eats, and your child's doctor has the final word.
